Day 3- Pittsburg, Kansas

Today was a great day...we left Hayti at 7 this morning and drove the back roads to Pittsburg, Kansas.  We started looking for Toto when we crossed into Kansas...but no luck.  We finish traveling today a little after 2 and the temp. was 104.  But the roads were great and the traffic was non existant..We passed the Studebaker graveyard...on a 5 mile stretch we saw 3 old rusted out studebakers...Rick Carini should travel this way.
Dave still swears by his MAP and we still rely on our GPS.

The sun was right in Pat's face...I will do better tomorrow.

This was Wright's wedge...
After resting from the heat we went to "Chatters" for dinner...It was good and very reasonable...but the service was slow.  Notice the size of the Wright's "wedgie".

We leave in the morning and head to Garden City, Kansas...this will be one of our longest and hottest days..
We had a lot of people stop and ask about the cars...last night after dinner this really large man asked if he could sit in our car and have his picture made.  We let him, he needed a slipper horn to get in and out.  Jan made a picture and I will post it when she sends it to me.
